Lucy Brown

Director & Founder

40 years sober, our very own Lucy Brown told her story at the Church of Resurrection Recovery. She was 26, alone, frightened and ashamed. A pack of Marlboro Reds started the fight and now she dedicates her entire life to helping other women in recovery

Lorraine

As I made my first baby steps to healthy living and recovery one woman stands out as incredibly significant. That woman was my sister in law Lorraine Hustad. She was a loving no nonsense woman, full of whimsy and humor. She was inclusive and steadfast as I navigated my own uncertainty and had to live in a sober living myself. She was an inspiration. Lorraine’s brave battle with ovarian cancer ended in 2016 and left me with a desire to honor that special part she had always played in my life. She was a woman of substance so I decided to name the program after her. In honor of her I intend to create the kind of safe, no nonsense. fun, and loving atmosphere she would of created herself.
